For the login for your new 1TV app, you will use the same credentials you currently use on the existing application.

The instructions for downloading the app depend on the platform (Amazon Fire, Google Android, or Apple iOS). Please see the graphic on the left for detailed instructions.

A few important notes:

  1. Please use the search function to search “1Tennessee”

  2. Note that it is the app with the gray/black background not the white background (this is the old app) [see below for new app icon]

  3. Once downloaded, use your existing email and password combination to login

+ Why the change of apps?

Earlier this year, MobiTV, the platform that our current app is based on filed for bankruptcy. In June, their assets were auctioned off and TiVo prevailed as the winner of all assets. In the weeks that followed, TiVo presented a new contract that included a significant increase in costs, costs that we would have to pass on to our customers. Additionally, it was (is) unclear what TiVo's long-term plan is for the platform.

In an effort to create the most stable user experience for our subscribers, we opted out of the TiVo Agreement. We chose instead to partner with Harmonic+JEA+Nagra to provide an end-to-end solution that meets the expectations of our customers while also allowing us to reduce the risk of downtime.

Previously, we had experienced outages due to fiber cuts and storm damage outside of our plant. With this new solution, we will have much more control over the connectivity and end-user experience.

When all of the factors were considered together, it was clear that this was the right path for the long-term benefit of our subscribers (you).

+ What are the biggest changes?

While this is obviously a new platform (and new app), the features and user experience are very similar. It includes DVR, fast-forward/rewind, advanced guide, and many of the other features you've become accustomed to. The login information is the same as before, and we think you'll find the app easy to navigate. We always welcome feedback and we have included some diagrams on this page for your benefit.

You will lose your previous recordings. This is unavoidable unfortunately. However, the new app will enable you to find most previously aired shows and set new recordings as soon as you login.

The new app is available on Amazon Fire platforms, Apple iOS, and Android operating systems. It will be available on web browsers and Apple TV later this year.

+ Are the prices changing?

No! Our planning process has allowed us to make these changes with no impact to your monthly bill. It includes multiple concurrent streams as well as 50 hours of DVR. Users of our basic and premier tier lineups on the app continue to receive the $2.50 discount over legacy digital box TV subscriptions.
