Our History
Celebrating 50 years of serving West Tennessee!
Warmath Communications was founded in 1969 by local lawyer/entrepreneur J. Frank Warmath (my grandfather). Back then, we offered 5 channels for $5. As cable TV grew in prominence, the company grew to approximately 100 miles of wire in/around Humboldt.
In 1999, Frank (my father) recognized the importance of high-speed internet. We rebuilt our system using HFC - a fiber backbone where the last mile is completed via traditional copper cable. During the rebuild, Frank and Mark Love (former GM) built to “every house we could see” including expansion across Gibson County, Medina and Three Way.
In 2015, I took over as the third-generation President of what’s now known as Infostructure, Inc. (1Tennessee) after we decided not to sell the company. Today, we have launched Gigabit services via both cable modem and fiber to the home platforms. We offer high-speed internet at some of the most affordable rates in the whole country, which we’ve been recognized for in both 2019 and 2020.
We want our company to be something you can be proud of.
- John F. Warmath Jr.
